Daily life

What did you do over the weekend? Anything notable?

I've met a Zouk Crew. We practiced Friday evening in a park, then Sunday. It's so playful. I'm really happy I met these people.

How is your week/day going?

Week's starting. I keep diving on AI. I was very blurry 10 days ago. But since I've taken the decision to focus on this project, I feel strong and commited.

How is your family/significant other?

My family's good. My brother will come to visit me in September. We will travel for 3 weeks. I'm looking forward to it. I'm admiring him. And each vacations we have together are memorable.

How is work going?

Works going fine. I've learnt so much about how to learn over the past years. Approaching a new topic used to be dominated by fear. Now, it's very playful for me to get into a new topic.

Personal:

What are your hobbies?

Running - I run once a week with a running club made of tech people. We used to run between 5 and 7 kms, then we have a juice altogether. It brings me a lot of joy to see them every week.

Dancing - I've started dancing 3 weeks ago. I take house dance lessons, and I've joined a Zouk Crew. We used to hang out after practicing. It's very playful.

Writing - I write every day, for hours. First in the morning, then before going to bed. It calms me and brings me clarity.

Where are you from?

I'm from the hexagon (France) - We like to think about our country as an hexagon. I think it reassure us, it gives us a sens of where we stand in the world. And it flatter the idea we have of ourselves as rational persons.

More especially from Normandy - So I'm a Norman. Norman literally mean "North men". It trace back to a thousand years, when the land has been conquered by Vikings from Norway.

I grew up in Rouen - I used to reject this city. But now that I leave very far from it, it sparks my curiosity again. I realize I don't know much about it.

How long have you lived at your current location and worked at your current job?

I'm here since one month - First I spent 2 weeks in a hostel in Bui Vien. It was great to discover the city center and meet new people. Then I've taken an apartment in Binh Thanh.

Where did you go to school and what subjects and activities were you involved in?

I spent so many time in studies. At first, I neglected them. Then I started over from scratch, ranked first at university, and went on to join a France's top engineering school. Back then, dreaming of becoming an artist drove me through it all.

What do you do for work?

I write Python code.

Notable

What are your five most unique experiences?

Going down the wild Orne river in a canoe-trip with my brother - 120km, 8 days, and so many emotions. I was in awe watching the places we went through. We faced several issues on the first days I felt desperate when after 3 days, we were in the middle of nothing and had only achieved 10% of the planned travel. The last 3 days were exhausting. It reinforced the connection I have with my brother. I feel so calm when I'm in the middle of nothing.

Skydiving -

I did aerobatics - This is totally crazy. I took me 3 days to realize what happened.

LSD - It drove me in and 20h trip. I went so far. It was fascinating: strong and powerful hallucinations. It was scary too: some friend panicked, and we really wondered if it would stop one day. I'm still shocked when I think about it today.
